Announcing for the first time...

We'd like to introduce to you for the first time our daughter, Makayla Lok-Yee Wong (王樂怡). Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts throughout my pregnancy and for my delivery. Here's a recap & update and some photos for you to enjoy!

Name: Makayla Lok-Yee Wong (王樂怡) 'Lok-Yee' in Chinese means happy & joyful - We hope that she will be a joyful girl and be able to bring joy to others!
Birthdate: Jan 8, 2010 at 1:27am
Weight: 8lbs8oz
Height: 21 in.
Special skills: holding pacifier to mouth at 4 days old, lifting head up and turning it from one side to the other during tummy time, smiling and being super cute!

Delivery was relatively quick (12 hours) and smooth (drug free!). Heidi stayed for two extra days due to low iron level and was discharged on Jan 10. She's recovering well at home and loving being a mom. Makayla had to stay for a few more days at the hospital to get treatment for jaundice. She responded well to the treatment and was discharged on Jan 12. Kudos to superdad, Abe for being the best labor coach and supportive husband. Diaper ratio for the first few days was 20:1 (abe = 20...hope this trend continues! :)
